General contractor
From Dirt to Done.
Most builds fall apart in the gaps between the architect, the engineer and the contractor. We are all three under one roof.
Under one roof
What we do.
Most contractors are a middleman with a license. The architect and engineer they hire have never built anything, so the plans hit the field and the problems start. That is where cost overruns come from.
That is not how JDB works. Our architects and engineers work closely with the same team that builds the job. They draw what we know how to build, and they answer for it when a question comes up in the field. One team owns your project from the first line on paper to the day you get the keys.
Architecture and engineering in house
A normal build takes three companies: an architect draws it, an engineer stamps it, a contractor builds it. When they disagree, you are the one on the phone while the costs increase. We do all three. The people who can solve the problem are already on your team.
Our own crews
Concrete, framing and finish carpentry are ours. We are not marking up a sub who is marking up his guys, which is why the pricing holds. It also means the quality is ours to answer for. There is nobody else to point at.
A full preconstruction department
Signing a contract and breaking ground are not the same day. In between sits plan review, corrections, and a city in no hurry. We run a team whose entire job is that stretch, so you hear from us the whole way instead of wondering what happened to your project.
One point of contact
Cost overruns are rarely bad luck. They happen when four companies each own one piece and nobody looks three steps ahead. Here the person who bids your job runs your job. Contract signing to keys in your hand, same name, same number.
Behind the build
We build real things.
Any builder or architect can show you pretty pictures. JDB builds what it designs, from dirt to completed project and everything in between.
